Sophia R. Preston is a Founding Attorney of Preston Law Group. Sophia is licensed to practice law in the State of California. At her previous firm, Sophia practiced in the field of Probate Administration and Litigation. She handled Will and Trust Contests, Contested Conservatorships and Guardianships, Trustee Removal, Surcharge Actions, and Accounting Disputes, among other cases. This litigation experience gives Sophia an edge when drafting her client’s Estate Plan – she thinks like a Litigator.
Sophia attended Arizona State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences with a Minor in Religious Studies. There, she met her husband, Taylor Preston. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. There, she was heavily involved in the Center for Law, Science, and Innovation, as well as a member of the Jurimetrics Journal, the American Bar Association’s Law, Science, and Technology Journal. She was a fellow of the Arkfeld E-Discovery Conference, in which she was involved in research on cutting edge issues in Electronic Discovery.
Sophia grew up in a military family, and had the opportunity to live and travel all over the world as a child. She credits this experience with teaching her the skills to understand and empathize with every person, no matter their background, culture, or experiences.
In her free time, Sophia can be found at the park walking her doberman pinscher, Anubis, with her husband. She is a competitive powerlifter and avid SCUBA diver. She has a hidden talent in baking specialty desserts and often surprises her loved one with customized cakes.
